Funded Training Opportunity: Art-Based Advanced Care Planning, Train the Trainer
We are really excited to be able to offer a unique training opportunity for Somerset; No Barriers Here art-based Advance Care Planning Train the Trainer. On 8th April, we have a one-off day for Somerset.
‘No Barriers Here challenges misconceptions around talking about death and dying with people with learning disabilities and support the idea that using arts approaches in palliative care can shape rich conversations within our communities and challenge inequalities underserved populations experience’
Once complete, the training will enable you to support the creation of advance care plans (ACP) with people using a different approach. It will also facilitate the forward-teaching of this. Therefore there will be an expectation of those that attend, to deliver a minimum of 1 teaching workshop a year, as well as empowering and assisting people to create their own ACPs.
