Somerset’s Independent Living Centres (SILCs), in Shepton Mallet, Taunton and Yeovil, are now open for pre-booked appointments where people can talk to our Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy led team and try out equipment and technology to make daily living easier. We want to encourage people and their carers to book an appointment to attend.  Our SILCs are a key part of our prevention approach helping people to help themselves, either through us providing the equipment as part of their appointment or people purchasing items themselves to help make daily living easier.
