Trauma Informed Service: Support to Adults Facing Homelessness with Multiple Exclusions
Market Context
A review of adult social care and housing provision in Somerset confirmed the continued need for a specialist service supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages.
The newly commissioned Trauma Informed Service: Support to Adults Facing Homelessness and Multiple Exclusions builds on the successes of previous initiatives.
The contract emphasises a trauma‑informed approach across both direct support and staff development. The service will promote recovery and rehabilitation within local communities, working in partnership with VCFSE organisations and Health, Social Care, and Housing teams.
It will also strengthen system-wide capacity through training and by contributing to ongoing innovation and transformation activities led by Somerset Council.
