Updated ‘Looking After Yourself’ Post Incident Leaflet
|
We have updated the ‘Looking After Yourself’ leaflet to support those that have been impacted by flooding. View the new version here.
|
We have created a new ‘Suicide – Language Matters’ poster - this document provides information and guidance around the use of language when talking about suicide. The language we use can impact those who have been touched by suicide and by using different language we can help to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide.
|
We are close to having 900 Orange Button holders in Somerset. Please continue to promote the scheme within your networks to help to raise awareness of it. We have new posters to advertise the scheme. Download them here.

New Dates: Learning Disability and Mental Health Upskilling
New dates for the free Mental Health training for the Learning Disability Social Care workforce are available. The topics which are covered by the training are:
|
- How dementia presents in individuals with Learning Disabilities

- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Positive behavioural strategies
- Schizophrenia
All sessions run 10am-5pm and are free to attend, but please bring your own lunch.

Free Online Event - Going Digital Myth-Busting with DiSC and RCPA - July 6th
RCPA are pleased to announce that we will be holding a free online event alongside the DiSC team (Digitalisation of Social Care team) on Thursday 6th July at 1.30pm.
|
There are many digital products and services available to your organisation and it can be hard to know which ones to focus on and how they will benefit your organisation, your staff and clients.
|
We will be hosting a workshop to answer any questions you may have around adopting digital technologies and services, along with helping you stay safe in the digital world using the DSPT (Data Security & Protection Toolkit). There are currently funding opportunities available to assist your organisation in going digital and this will also be discussed at the event.
